Property Tax Reminder – First Installment Due January 31
The first installment of property tax bills is due by January 31. Please review the following important information to ensure your payment is processed on time:
Town Hall Hours
- The Town Hall is always closed to the public on Fridays.
Plan ahead if you need in-person assistance earlier in the week. -
Postmarks will be honored, but please plan accordingly.
Online Payments
- If you’re paying online, note that the transfer process takes 4–5 business days. 3rd party proceccing fees ARE applied.
- If you prefer to make online payments for taxes, please update your information to make sure you are using the correct payment platform: 👉 Pay Online Here
Mailing Your Payment? Plan Ahead!
The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) has shared an important update:
- In August 2025, the USPS changed how postmarks are processed, moving from local application to regional sorting centers.
- What this means for you:
- Postmark dates may no longer reflect the actual day you mailed your payment.
- Mail your property tax payments early to avoid delays. Don’t procrastinate!

Second Installment Reminder
The second installment is due July 31 and must be sent to the Jefferson County Treasurer’s Office, not the Town of Ixonia.
